The word ‘Keshi’ means ‘poppy seed’ in Japanese and these pearls are also sometimes referred to as seed pearls.
Akoya Keshi pearls are traditionally very small in size, 0.6mm – 5.0mm, and are an extremely rare form of pearl, they form less than 0.5% of the Akoya production. They can range in colours from pure white to more commonly gray, blue, green, pink and yellow tones.
We have some unique and one off pieces of jewellery made with Akoya Keshi pearls perfect for the creative customer wanting to make a statement addition to any jewellery collection.
